1. Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the WiseUp mobile application (“App”, package com.acme.wiseup). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. About the Service

WiseUp is an educational platform for medical interns and medical professionals. It provides:

• Practice quizzes organized in question batches, with answer submission and scoring
• Medical journals and blogs for reading and study
• A personal profile to manage your professional and academic information

The App is free to use. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or paid features.

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• The App is intended for medical students, interns, and qualified medical professionals using it for education and exam preparation.
• You must provide accurate information when registering (name, email, phone number). One account per person.

4. Account Registration and Security

• To register, provide your name, email address, phone number, and a password (minimum 8 characters). A one-time password (OTP) sent to your email or phone must be verified to activate your account.
• You can reset a forgotten password through the email verification flow in the App.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@wiseup.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, share accounts, or violate these Terms.

5. Profile Information and Uploads

• You may add professional details to your profile, such as practitioner type (MBBS/BDS), institute registration and roll numbers, institution, internship placement, department, location (division/district/upazila), and BMDC license number.
• You may upload a copy of your BMDC certificate for verification purposes.
• You confirm that all information and documents you submit are true, belong to you, and are submitted lawfully.
• By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to store, display, and process it solely to operate your account and provide the Service (for example, showing your verification status).
• Do not upload content that is unlawful, misleading, infringes others’ rights, or contains malware.

6. Acceptable Use and Quiz Integrity

You agree not to:

• Attempt quiz fraud, such as sharing live quiz content or answers, automating submissions, or manipulating scores
• Copy, scrape, redistribute, or republish App content (questions, journals, blogs) outside the App
• Reverse-engineer, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to the App or its backend systems
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of medical professional ethics

Violation may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account.

7. Intellectual Property

All content in the App — including quiz questions, journals, blogs, graphics, and software — is owned by WiseUp or its content providers and is protected by law. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable license to access and use the App for study purposes only. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you.

9. Service Availability and Changes

We aim to keep the App available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features (such as quizzes, journals, or blogs) at any time for maintenance, content updates, or operational reasons, without prior notice.

10. Push Notifications

• The App may send push notifications to your device, such as new quizzes, journals or blogs being published, account and security alerts, and important service updates.
• To deliver notifications, the App collects and stores a device push token. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device Settings; essential account and security notices may still be shown inside the App.
• Notification content is informational only and is subject to the educational-purpose limitation in Section 8.

11. Account Termination and Deletion

• You may log out at any time from the Profile screen.
• To permanently delete your account and associated personal data, send a request from your registered email to support@wiseup.app with the subject “Account Deletion”. We will confirm and process verified requests within 30 days. Some records may be retained where required by law.
• We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms, remain inactive for an extended period, or where required by law. Termination does not affect rights and obligations accrued before termination.

12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

• The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, WiseUp is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the App, including exam outcomes or clinical decisions.
• Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the Service (the App is free, so this is zero), or the minimum amount permitted under applicable law.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the App or at https://medintern.acplbd.com/. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bangladesh.
